Founded in 2016 by a group of IT and Business students, Kolibri Games is a mobile games studio based in Berlin, Germany. The company’s first title, Idle Miner Tycoon, which was developed in just eight weeks, has achieved over 100 million downloads worldwide as of 2021. Continuously refining its games for long-term success, Kolibri Games has since added several new titles to its growing product portfolio, and has also released on cloud gaming platforms. In February 2020, Kolibri Games was acquired by French gaming giant Ubisoft.  The company’s games have been downloaded millions of times by players around the world, establishing Kolibri Games as a leader in the idle genre, and enabling the company to grow to more than 140 "Kolibris".

Kolibri Games’ exceptional growth story has been recognized several times: LinkedIn added the company to the 2018 and 2019 list of Top 25 startups in Germany; Red Herring placed Kolibri Games among the 2018 Top 100 Global and Deloitte awarded the company with a first place in the "Rising Stars" category of 2018’s Deloitte Technology Fast 50.
